Jennie Rose Mangipano Saucier passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the age of 67. She was the cherished wife of 45 years to Michael J. Saucier Sr. Loving mother of Darlene Saucier Jarrell (Chad), Michael J. Saucier Jr. (Katie), Wendy Saucier and Brian J. Saucier. Daughter of the late John Mangipano and Rosemary Pellittieri Mangipano. Sister of Lucille Howat (Louis), Ronald Mangipano (the late Mary Ann), Gaynel Seibert (Charles), Darryl Mangipano (Janice) and Gwen Gros (Randy). Sister-in-law of Janet Guarisco (the late Vincent) Henry Saucier Jr. (Janice), Marlene Wagner (Larry), Elizabeth Lotz (Fred) and the late Ralph Saucier (Laura). Proud grandmother of her beloved grandchildren Isabella Jarrell, Owen Jarrell, Leila Jarrell, Andrew Saucier and Luke Saucier. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jennie was born on January 1, 1950 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish, currently residing in Covington, LA. Jennie truly enjoyed life through her simple pleasures of sewing, cooking, baking birthday and king cakes for friends and family, gardening and growing her amazing flowers and vegetables. She found pleasure in the details of everyday life and caring deeply for others. Jennie will always be remembered for her loyalty and dedication to her family, her caring and loving spirit, her laughter, and spoiling the grandchildren. She was our pillar of courage and strength, and a wonderful example of what it means to care for others. She will be deeply missed by us all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
