Water and Sewer workers replace damaged diffuser header at Munster Sewer Treatment Plant

“It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it.” St. Bernard Parish Government Water and Sewer employees replaced 43 feet of damaged diffuser header for the digester well at the Munster Sewer Treatment Plant. This project will bring the digester treatment capacity back to 100%. The in-house work saved the parish thousands of dollars.

Employees working on the project were Charles “Chuck” Schindler, Lift Station Supervisor, Sean Mc Key, Assistant Superintendent of Instrumentation and Electrical, and David Richards, Munster Plant Operator. Also assisting was Curtis Winding, Jr. and Billy Bertoniere.
