St. Bernard Parish Hospital Names Alanna Fast Associate Administrator

Alanna "Lani" R. Fast

St. Bernard Parish Hospital (SBPH) is proud to name Alanna R. Fast, “Lani”, as Associate Administrator. The appointment is effective July 30, 2018. In the role, Fast will provide oversight and leadership for the hospital and satellite clinic locations serving Chalmette and New Orleans East. She will report to St. Bernard Parish Hospital CEO, Kim Keene.

Fast has 13 years of healthcare experience and has worked at Ochsner Health System since 2010. Fast is vastly knowledgeable of healthcare services – working alongside physicians spanning 25 specialties including primary care services in addition to hospital services at Ochsner Medical Center- North Shore. She has extensive expertise in practice acquisitions and alignment. Fast started her career in healthcare marketing and business development, which has enabled Fast to build strong interpersonal relationships with patients, business colleagues, providers, employees, and prospective partners.

Most recently, Fast served as Assistant Vice President of Clinic Operations for Ochsner Health System- North Shore supporting Slidell, Pearl River, Chalmette, Covington; Bay St. Louis and Diamondhead, Miss. In this role, Fast worked closely with local CEOs on Ochsner Health System’s partnership and integration of St. Bernard Parish Hospital and Ochsner Medical Center- Hancock while maintaining oversight of her territory in St. Tammany Parish.

Fast has positively impacted her areas of responsibility, increased access to services locally and developed innovative programs for patients to improve convenience. In her previous position, Fast developed the first National Committee for Quality Assurance’s Accredited Patient-Centered Medical Home for Ochsner, in Slidell. Fast also worked closely with Ochsner and Slidell Memorial Hospital to open the Slidell Comprehensive Weight Loss Clinic providing dietitian services, meal replacement, medical health management and surgical options for weight loss in one location.

Fast is a Louisiana native raised in the Greater New Orleans area.  She attended the Louise S. McGehee School, received her bachelor’s degree from The University of New Orleans and a master’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of Women’s Healthcare Executives of New Orleans and a graduate of the East. St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership North Shore. She is the recipient of Ochsner Health System’s Quality Project of the Year (team award), 2011; Ochsner North Shore’s Leader of the Quarter, 2016; and The Ochsner Executive Award, Up & Coming Leader of The Year, 2017.
