The St. Bernard Parish Home Mortgage Authority will put on a free “All About Credit” Seminar on Saturday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the St Bernard Parish Council Chambers.
This seminar will be open to the public. “The goal of this seminar is to provide valuable information to our residents in regard to how they can establish credit, fix their credit, and maintain their credit,” said Home Mortgage Authority Treasurer Claude Maher Jr. “We will pass on information that isn’t taught anywhere in school to everyone that wants to have a good credit score.” The seminar will last about an hour, after which there will be members of the board there to answer questions one on one in regard to the attendees’ personal credit scores.
Mr. Maher is the Branch Manager for CrossCountry Mortgage’s Chalmette Office and will be available to discuss everything you need to know about credit. Other members of the HMA in attendance will be Jacques Alfonso (Owner of St. Bernard Realty) and Ms. Jodie Lohfink, a recently retired 30-year mortgage professional.
Anyone wanting to attend should come to the Council Chambers, September 22nd. Doors will open at 9:45 a.m. and the Seminar will begin at 10:00 a.m. There is a limited number of seats available. Seating will be first come, first serve.
