The Borgnemouth Braves Booster Club cheerleaders ended their 2018-19 Cheer season on Sunday March 10th with a new tradition-their 1st Annual Cheer Banquet. The girls and their families joined together for a pot luck style Sunday lunch at their home gym, where they received 1st and 2nd year trophies and gifts from their coaches. A good time was had by all and everyone looks forward to continuing to the tradition.
This season, under the direction of coaches Stephanie Stephens and Krystina Brown, the cheerleaders cheered for several sports including flag football, tackle football, volleyball, and basketball. With 22 cheerleaders and only 3 returning from the previous year, a lot of learning new things went on this season and the girls excelled at everything they were taught. They also participated in several events during their season including the parish-wide recreation homecoming parade, the Annual Veterans Day Parade, and topped their season off with being the first Booster Club cheer team to march in the Nights of Nemesis Parade.
The entire squad would like to thank everyone for all of the support and help throughout our season!
Coaches Stephanie and Krystina are looking forward to next season already, and encourage any prospective cheer parents to make sure that they follow the Borgnemouth Braves Booster Club Facebook page so that they may stay up to date on registration, which will happen sometime in June.
