Chalmette Refining and The Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard-Arabi will honor the Terrific Kids and Terrific Teens from the 2018/2019 school year at the club’s annual pancake breakfast, set for Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 11 am in the Chalmette High School Ninth Grade Academy cafeteria, located across the street from the main high school building on 1100 E. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette. In addition to a pancake breakfast, Chalmette Refining is providing a mini-funfair for children along with a photo booth for children to take special Mothers Day pictures.
Additional tickets will be available for adults ($5) or children ($3) at the door the day of the event. The breakfast is open to the public.
Steve Fecke, Pancake Breakfast Chairman, encourages all parish residents to come out and support the Terrific Kids and Terrific Teens at the pancake breakfast. “This is a great opportunity to support our parish children by coming out and showing them your support for their hard work and efforts throughout the school year. You will enjoy a good breakfast, and enjoy seeing the kid’s faces light up when they are recognized for their efforts.”
Terrific Kids is a Kiwanis International program that awards outstanding students that are: Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive, and Capable.
You may have seen the Terrific Kids/Terrific Teens yard signs and T-shirts throughout the community.
The Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard-Arabi’s program, sponsored by Chalmette Refining LLC., honors elementary,
middle, and high school students at St. Bernard Parish’s public schools, as well as Lynn Oaks and Our Lady of Prompt Succor.
