The St. Bernard Parish Home Mortgage Authority will host a FREE Home Buying Seminar on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Bernard Parish Council Chambers located at 8201 W. Judge Pere Drive in Chalmette. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and seating is first come, first served.
“We want to make sure that anyone that wishes to buy a house in St. Bernard Parish and plant their roots here has the knowledge they need and also knows what their options are” said Home Mortgage Authority Treasurer Claude Maher Jr. “We will cover all aspects of the home buying process as well as everything you need to know about credit.”
Presenters of the seminar are Mr. Maher, Branch Manager of CrossCountry Mortgage Chalmette Office and Board Member Jacques Alfonso, owner of St. Bernard Realty.
“We thought it was important to have people who are from St. Bernard and work in St. Bernard at the seminar to provide the knowledge of what it takes to buy a house down here” said Alfonso. “In one hour we will give you all the information you need to put yourself in the best position possible when go to buy a house.”
