William Brossette, Jr.

A man from eastern St. Bernard Parish was arrested for distribution of methamphetamine and distribution of heroin after St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents were able to make purchases from him on separate occasions during an undercover investigation, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

William Brossette Jr., 41, of the 2000 block of East Christie Drive in St. Bernard community, was booked Aug. 20 with two counts of distribution of heroin, distribution of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After making the narcotics purchases from Brossette, Sheriff Pohlmann said, agents with the Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit issued a warrant for Brossette’s arrest and a  search warrant for his residence.

During the execution of the search warrant, agents recovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A criminal history check was conducted on Brossette which revealed he has an extensive criminal history dating back to the late 1990s which includes approximately 20 previous drug law violations, as well as several arrests for burglary and theft.

Brossette was transported to St. Bernard Parish Prison where he was booked on the above charges. His bond has been set at $401,750.

Sheriff Pohlmann reminds residents to call the Sheriff’s Office narcotics hotline at (504) 271-DOPE or 3673 to report suspected illegal drug activity in St. Bernard Parish. Callers can remain anonymous, and all calls will be acted upon.
