Nunez Inducts Honor Students

The Nunez Community College chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi held its new member induction ceremony on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Faculty, staff, students and their families gathered to celebrate the occasion.

Newly inducted members include Terry Doty, secretary (Chalmette); Nadia James, Co-Advisor (New Orleans); Kim Doty, Advisor (Chalmette); Lacy Falgout (Arabi); Dr. Tina Tinney, Chancellor; Emily Artigues (Chalmette); Marlise Williams (New Orleans); Colin Gwin (St. Rose); Chealice Bailey (New Orleans); Ashlee Esteves (Meraux); Desiree Copping (Arabi); Sabreen Tamini (Chalmette); Shemira Dunson (New Orleans); Ashley Gonzales (Picayune) ; Dajonik Bickham (New Orleans); Assalah Kahla (Chalmette); Jonathan Dedon (Slidell); Krissean McClarty (New Orleans); Maya Garnier, Region IV Senator. The Gamma Beta Phi Society is a national honor and service society. Their watchwords are service, scholarship, and character, and they aim to broaden their members’ academic and philanthropic lives so that they may graduate ready to make a difference in the world. To be invited to join, students must have a 3.2 or better GPA and have completed 12 credit hours or more without any developmental classes. A satisfactory GPA and service to the school and/or community are required for continued membership.
