St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office deputies at the Parish Prison and the Field Operations Bureau’s Patrol Division Paris Road Substation were treated to lunch on Thursday to show appreciation for their hard work, dedication, and willingness to put their lives on the line to protect their community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meals were presented by the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by the Methodist Health System Foundation Inc. and prepared by Arabi Food Store.
Elizabeth Dauterive, the Chamber’s chief executive officer, delivered more than 50 meals, which consisted of smoked chicken, potato salad, and baked beans.
