Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas Crafts! The St. Bernard Parish Library is trying to serve its patrons as safely as possible and that means we will need to untie the ribbon, rip off the wrapping paper and think outside of the gift box when it comes to our annual Christmas Craft Open House. This year, in order to keep our library friends and families safe, we are doing Christmas Craft Grab and Go activities. Instead of coming to do holiday crafts at the library, families can just stop by and quickly grab a ‘12 Days of Christmas packet’ to complete at home. Grab and go Christmas crafts will be available at the library’s main branch located at 2600 Palmisano Blvd., in Chalmette on Monday and Tuesday, December 21st and 22nd from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 23rd from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Inside each craft packet will be 12 different activities and crafts for children to enjoy. The library will supply the parts and pieces and families will need materials, most likely already on hand, like crayons, glue, scissors, etc. All crafts will be fairly simple to complete, but parents may need to assist younger children. Packets are free and will be available just inside the library’s main entrance. We are asking that anyone stopping by the library to ‘grab and go’ with their craft packets please remember to wear their mask.
Anyone needing more information, can visit our website at mysbpl.org or call the library at 504-279-0448. Please remember to like the library’s Facebook page in order to receive updates.
