Happy Mardi Day—no, not that. Happy Valen Mardi—no, that’s not right. Happy Valen Gras! That’s it! It’s the St. Bernard Parish Library’s Grab and Go Craft activity celebrating Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras. Families are invited to stop by the library to pick up a sweet Valen Mardi Grab and Go Craft Bag that has two easy-to-do crafts inside plus two coloring sheets. Families will only need to supply basic craft supplies such as glue, scissors, or crayons; all other materials will be supplied by the library. Parents may need to assist younger children and caution is urged when smaller pieces are involved. Grab and Go Craft bags will be available from Wednesday and Thursday, February 10th and 11th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday, February 12th from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Families are also invited to watch the library’s Telling Tales from the Library Virtual storytime on the library’s Facebook page. New stories are premiered on Wednesdays and are available for streaming and sharing. Patrons are encouraged to like the library’s page to stay up-to-date and receive reminders about library activities.
