State testing will take place for St. Bernard Parish students throughout the months of April and May. Paper-based testing will be given to students in grades 3 and 4. Computer-based testing will be given to grades 5 – 8. High school students taking Algebra I, Geometry, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History will take the LEAP2025 assessment for each of these courses throughout the month of May.
For students in 3rd and 4th grade, testing will take place April 28 – 30 and May 3 – 4, 2021. Fifth-grade students will be taking the English Language Arts and Mathematics tests May 10-12, 2021. These students will be taking the Science and Social Studies tests on May 13, 14, and 17, 2021. Sixth through eighth-grade students will be taking the English Language Arts and Mathematics tests May 4-6, 2021, Science, and Social Studies tests May 7, and May 10-11, 2021.
Students enrolled in state-approved home-study programs and students currently enrolled in private or parochial schools who plan to enter public schools next year for enrollment in grades 4 or 9 must register for this test. These students may participate in testing at their district public school during the scheduled testing sessions. Registration is required for participation. Registration forms may be completed at the St. Bernard Parish School Board Administration Office at 200 E. St. Bernard Highway until March 20, 2020. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Registration forms may be faxed upon request. The last day to register for state testing with your school district is April 12, 2021.

Students currently enrolled in St. Bernard Parish public schools are not required to register for state testing.
