It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald “Ronnie” Sensebe announce his passing on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the age of 73. A resident of Chalmette, Ronnie was born on Feb. 4, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ronnie will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Alainna Deibel Sensebe, and he will forever remain in the hearts of his two children, Jason Sensebe (Liz) and Shayla Sensebe.

He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Haley Sensebe (Alexander) and Phoenix Sensebe, and his great-granddaughter, Myla Gonzalez.

He also will be lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Estelle Deibel; his sister-in-law Starlette Gray (Ralph); his “favorite” cousin, Patricia Melson Delaune; and a host of other family members and dear friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline Waldridge Sensebe and Christian Joseph Sensebe III; his brother, Christian Joseph Sensebe IV (June); his grandparents, Christian Joseph Sensebe Jr., Eva Gonzales Sensebe Attaway, Allington Waldridge and Elise Waldridge; and his father-in-law, Rutherford “Smiley” Deibel.

Ronnie supported his wife, Alainna, in the operation of Inkwell Printing, a business she founded and continues to own and run in St. Bernard Parish. Over the years, Ronnie helped Alainna proudly serve the local community, and together they built lasting relationships with the people they served.

Well known for his lifelong love of cars – especially classic models – Ronnie took great pride in restoring and preserving them. He was a former member of the Antique Auto Club of St. Bernard, where he shared his passion and knowledge with fellow enthusiasts. Whether at a local car show or working under the hood, Ronnie found joy in the details and craftsmanship that made each vehicle special, and he would often be seen driving his hot rods around the parish.

Ronnie will be remembered by those who loved him for his unique personality and sarcastic humor. Although he often came across as tough and outspoken, Ronnie also had a softer, more generous side that showed in quiet ways. Whether helping someone in need or supporting those he cared about, he could be unexpectedly kind when it mattered most.

Though he is no longer with us, Ronnie’s mark lives on in the memories he created, the lives he touched and the legacy he leaves behind for his family and friends.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at Charbonnet Funeral Services, 4917 E. Judge Perez Drive in Violet. Visitation begins at 11 a.m., with the service to follow at noon.
