The VFW Auxiliary to Chalmette Post 3706 recently met at the Hinton Causey VFW Post 7194 in Arabi to begin making Christmas bags for homeless veterans. The auxiliary members and family made 48 of the needed 200 gift bags. Anyone wishing to donate an item for the gift bags can call President Sandra Reuther at 952-0916.
