Victor Joseph Michon, Jr., age 62 years, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his home in Chalmette, LA. Beloved and devoted husband of Phyllis “Phe” Nastasi Michon for 44 years. Loving father of Dana Michon Meyer (Ricky), Timothy Joseph Michon, and the late Matthew Paul Michon, Sr. Grandfather of Abbie, Alex, Allie, Corey, Matthew, Jr. and Emma. Son of the late Victor J. Michon, Sr. and Elsie Meyers Michon. Brother of Carolyn Michon Weaver (the late Barry). Godfather of Rachel Blanchard. Brother-in-law of Susan Nastasi Mallory, Eva Maynard (Darrell), and Tricia Borne (Jim). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Vic was a 1971 graduate of Chalmette High School. He was a former Longshoreman for T. Smith and Sons of New Orleans. He entered into fast food management and later achieved his lifelong dream of owning and operating Big Vic’s Restaurant in Chalmette.
