Eric Matthew Kuehl passed away at his home on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the age of 30. Son of Gordon Kuehl Sr. and Jenny Rome Kuehl. Brother of Gordon Kuehl Jr. and the late Marie Jeanne Kuehl. Grandson of Erin Kuehl and the late Wilbert and Grace Kuehl & the late Earl and Jeanne Rome. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Eric was a native of Chalmette, LA and a current resident of New Orleans, LA. He graduated from St. Mark Catholic School in 2000 and was a 2004 graduate of Brother Martin High School. Eric attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Eric was proud to work in the hospitality industry and bring joy and happiness to those around him. He was a dedicated member of the Barman’s Fund of Louisiana, Inc., a group of service professionals that donate tips and volunteer time to build a stronger community with local charitable organizations. Eric was also a lifetime volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, through which he built many houses for those in need.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. A Funeral Mass will begin at noon. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow in the Magnolia Room at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home.
