The Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard-Arabi speaker for March 21, 2017 was Mr. Otto Briede, Funeral Director and Sales Manager, for St. Bernard Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Mr. Briede gave us a history of St. Bernard Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home and their plans to expand to the west side of the Funeral Home. Mr. Briede is a fourth generation Funeral Director with his family owning and working in the business for many years. ​The Guest speaker at the Kiwanis Club meeting held on March 28, 2017 was one ​the Kiwanis Club’s​ own Mitchell Perkins​. Mitch is a​ Kiwanis Board Member, Past President, Lieutenant with the St. Bernard Sheriff Office Reserve’s, NRA Firearms Instructor and Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit Instructor. Mitch Volunteers many hours to Kiwanis and the Sheriff Office, Mitch Spoke to Kiwanis Club on Firearms Safety and the Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit Process.
