Kenneth Michael Lobre, age 46, was born on Monday, June 1, 1970 and called home by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to his Eternal rest on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2:15 p.m.
Kenneth was the beloved son of Ken and Daralynne Lobre, Cherished brother of Kelly Croll and her husband Clint. He also survived by his girlfriend Mary Kabel Smith and many thoughtful cousins and friends. Kenneth was the loving grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lobre & the late Mr. and Mrs. William Young.
Kenny was a fun loving, compassionate and spiritual person who believed in the power of prayer. He was also an avid LSU and Saints fan. Kenny loved people and all animals, especially his kittens. He enjoyed his days playing football at Chalmette High School.
The family would like to acknowledge their appreciation to the entire staff of Ferncrest Manor for their caring love and support during our son’s illness and also to Compassus Hospice.
We will all miss Kenny very much, especially his hugs and his visits.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend a visitation held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Good Friday, April 14, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Christian services began at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sandra Barnes of Gethsemane Lutheran Church officiating. He was laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
