Cynthia May Jones Woods

Cynthia May Jones Woods was born on December 9, 1959 in Roatan, Honduras to the proud parents of Keith and Natalie Jones; who preceded her in death. Cynthia lived with her five older siblings, Rodney, Rhonda, Fred, Lanney and twin Wynthia. In 1963, her father and mother worked hard to bring their children to the United States and chose to settle in New Orleans, LA. At the age of 19 Cynthia met her first love Leny Woods and the two were married on January 18, 1979. Over the next few years, the couple welcomed three children: Michael (Brooke), Jenny and Sabrina. Cynthia loved the outdoors, cooking and most of all caring for her beloved children. Cynthia taught her children the importance of an education and encouraged them to achieve their goals and dreams. In 2016, Cynthia was overjoyed to welcome her first grandchild, Jackson Owen Woods, whom she loved dearly. She fought a hard battle against cancer for the past five years and we are tremendously proud of her strength and courage. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her husband and children.
