Nellie Mae Lezina Payne passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 61. She was the wife of Joseph Teoulet. Loving mother of Tara Payne Goodwin, Tasha Payne, Larry Payne, Jr.; Larson Payne and Talia Payne. Step-mother of P.J. Teoulet. Proud grandmother of Kaylan Dorothy and Grace Corso. Daughter of Raymond Lezina and the late Dorothy Corso Lezina. Sister of Raymond Lezina, Jr.; Donna L. Robin; Suzie L. Theriot and Raynell L. Henry. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Nellie was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where she enjoyed a 10-year career as a Foreman with Brown & Root and was a proud member of the St. Bernard Council on Aging. She enjoyed passing the days with her cherished friends and family. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. She will be deeply missed by us all.
Funeral services were held in memory of Nellie at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home. She was laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
