Daniel Michael Liebert

Daniel Michael Liebert, a United States Navy Veteran, passed into eternal life on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the age of 72. He left this world peacefully with his family by his bedside. Daniel leaves behind a wife of 50 years, Katherine Guy Liebert; his 2 children Dana and Brett Liebert; and 3 beautiful grandchildren April, Daniel, and Olivia. Daniel was born on April 26, 1945 to the parents of Wilma and Lorena Liebert. Brother of Donald (Anna) and Gerald Liebert and Jane Stahl (Rudy); brother- in-law of Estelle Hall (Michael).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Daniel was the proud founder and owner of Orleans Ornamental Iron & Casting Dist. Inc. for 43 years along with his family. He made many wonderful friends with his meek and generous spirit. Daniel helped many become proud business owners by giving advice and precious time of his own experiences in business. His meekness, honesty, and loyal heart brought many customers to his generous side. These customers became like family to him. Daniel would always give not take. He was always looking to help out anyone in need. These fine qualities are far and none. He has left a legacy for his wife, children and grandchildren and will never be forgotten by anyone. Daniel was very loved and respected by all and whoever met him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  A funeral Mass will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by Military Honors. Interment will be private.
