Gloria Folse Deffes passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the age of77. She was the beloved wife Romain “R.J.” Deffes for 56 years. Loving mother of Peggy D. Gunther (Jeff) and Raymond J. Deffes Sr. (Brandy). Daughter of the late Milton Folse Sr. and Ozella Dietzel Folse. Sister of Mary Louise Lee (Ernest) and the late Milton Folse Jr. and Rodney Folse. Proud grandmother of Dustin Deffes and Raymond J. Deffes Jr.
Gloria was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Slidell, LA. She will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who treasured her family
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
