Residents can sign up for alerts affecting your neighborhood and St. Bernard Parish

St. Bernard Parish Government Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness urge all residents to sign up for emergency alerts affecting your neighborhood and St. Bernard Parish.

There are several simple ways to register:

  1. Text your ZIPCODE to 888777 from your mobile phone
  1. Go to the St. Bernard Homeland Security Webpage and sign up via “Nixle Emergency Alerts”.
  1. To Customize 

Log in at www.nixle.com

Click “Locations” tab

Click “Add New Location” to add addresses in your town or around the country. Do your relatives live out of the area? Keep track of what’s happening near your

loved ones and the places you work, live, or visit.

Click “Settings” tab, select a location from the left-hand menu and subscribe to receive messages from each agency by checking the “Subscribe” option. Adjust which messages by

priority level are sent to your email and/or cell phone.

Please note: you must opt in to receive messages from non-public safety agencies.  The service is secure, reliable and easy to use. You decide what information you want and whether you want it sent to your cell phone, email or simply over the web.
