Teachers at Arlene Meraux Elementary School used the solar eclipse as an opportunity to teach the students about a rare and exciting astronomical event.
Students in Mrs. Arnona’s Kindergarten class created their own paper solar eclipse, eclipse hats, and were able to watch the live stream of the eclipse over the internet.
Mrs. Andrea Woodward’s first grade students learned about the total eclipse through painting and discussion. Students were excited to explore and virtually participate in one of the many wonders of our universe.
