Louis “Doody” Robert Leidinger passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Monday, September 4, 2017 at the age of 52. Beloved son of the late Henry Leidinger and Gertie Mayeur Leidinger. Loving father of Jacklynn Dupont (Jonathon). Brother of Henry Leidinger, Angel Hernandez (Robin), Toni Tritt (Mark), Kim Jones (Terry) and Jeri Hernandez. Proud grandfather of Jacob, Alazaeh, Emma and Lacie. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Doody was born on November 24, 1964 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was a marine engineer for the State of Louisiana for 28 years. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
