Mary Elizabeth Lang

Mary Elizabeth Lang passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 4, 2017 at the age of 75.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her very memorable life.  She was the cherished wife of 58 years to Bernard A. Lang.  Loving mother of Richard A. Lang (Elizabeth), Kenneth M. Lang and Tiffany L. Kitto.  Daughter of the late Henry Frey and Lucille Harvey Brown.  Sister of Marshall Brown, Leonard Frey, Darlene Rogers and the late Bruce Frey, Leonard Weber and Douglas Weber.  Proud grandmother of Jennifer Mooney (Tim), Jeremy Lang (Amanda), Colin Kitto (Taylor), Brent Kitto, Hailey Lang, Austin Lang, Kaylin Lang, Santana Lang, Ashley Lang, Peyton Lang, Lewis Lang and the late Nicole Lang. Great grandmother of Nolan Mooney, Avery Mooney, Brailyn Weiskopf, Cayden Kitto, Karys Lang, Elena Lang, Kayla Lang and Chase Bordelon. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and especially Trina L. Lang.

Mary was born in New Orleans, LA and enjoyed a long career helping others as a Respiratory Therapist. She enjoyed travelling with the Travel Supremes RV Group and her fondness of QVC was surpassed only by her love for her family, friends and the FedEx truck. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of everyday life and caring deeply for others. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. She will always be remembered for her loyalty and dedication to her family and will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her love, laughter, kindness and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 8, 2017 from noon to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service in Mary’s memory beginning at 2:00 p.m. Her burial will be private.
