Time is running out to enter for a chance to win a Startup St. Bernard prize package valued at $100,000+. Entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the opportunity to pitch their business to a panel of judges during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week in March 2018. The entry period will close at midnight (Central Time) on February 1, 2018.
To qualify, entrants must be in business for 5 years or less or be an existing business creating a new division or entity; have yearly revenue under $1,000,000; have 5 employees or less, and cannot be a non-profit.
The Startup St. Bernard Challenge is open to any startup business that will:
- Locate their base of operations to St. Bernard Parish for at least 2 years
- Improve St. Bernard Parish
- Become part of the St. Bernard Parish entrepreneur ecosystem
The prize package includes a mix of cash and in-kind donations. In the past, in-kind donations have included services ranging from legal and accounting to marketing and public relations.

The 4th Annual Startup St. Bernard competition will take place on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Docville Farm (5128 East St. Bernard Highway, Violet, LA.) The event is from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and open to the public. The 2018 finalists and prize package details will be announced at a later date.
