St. Bernard Parish Government and Louisiana Sea Grant will host the semiannual St. Bernard Seafood Market at Delacroix Pier event from on Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the new fishing complex (5565 Delacroix Highway).
This event will provide an opportunity for local commercial fishermen to sell their landings and other seafood products directly to the public. The purpose of the event is to have a good time and promote direct-to-market seafood retail in St. Bernard Parish.
Hundreds of people attended the pilot public seafood market event in Delacroix on June 8th. Four commercial fishermen and ten other vendors participated in the event. Commercial fishermen interested in participating as dockside vendors during the September event can retrieve the Delacroix Market Policies and Applications document from https://www.sbpg.net/DocumentCenter/View/2714/Delacroix-Market-Policies-and-Applications. Complete application packages for dockside vendors must be submitted to Dominique Seibert of Louisiana Sea Grant no later than August 15th. Ms. Seibert can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (504) 458-2397.
The location and deadline for booth vendors (prepared food, etc.) are the same and must be submitted to Jerry Graves at email@example.com by the established deadline. Dr. Graves can also be reached by phone at (504) 343-4041.
