St. Bernard State Park Awarded $1,098,625

St. Bernard State Park.

Governor John Bel Edwards announced $60 million in new coastal projects to be built and paid for with funds from the settlement of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.

The $60 million will cover the cost of engineering, design, and construction of 23 projects spanning our coast that will directly impact the communities that have been recovering from the spill.

St. Bernard State Park will receive improvements worth $1,098,625 which will include renovations to the park entrance, restroom facilities and construction of an event pavilion. “I’m excited to see a million dollars of improvements being put into our park,” said Parish President Guy McInnis.
