St. Bernard Parish Hospital Welcomes General Surgeon

Dr. Thomas Delahoussaye now accepting general surgery patients.

St. Bernard Parish Hospital (SBPH) is proud to welcome Thomas Delahoussaye, MD, to its team as a General Surgeon. Dr. Delahoussaye is now accepting general surgery patients.

Dr. Delahoussaye started his career at Tulane Emergency Department as a Paramedic/Phlebotomist after completion of EMS-EMT Basic Training from Delgado Community College in New Orleans. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology from The University of New Orleans. Dr. Delahoussaye obtained a Medical Degree from LSUHSC-New Orleans and continued to the institution’s General Surgery Residency Program where he served as Chief Resident in 2017.

Throughout Medical School, Dr. Delahoussaye participated in various medical interest groups to include: LSU Student Christian Medical Association; Emergency Medicine Interest Group; Surgery Interest Group; and served as Social Chairman for the class of 2012. He resides in the New Orleans Metropolitan area and is happy to care for the residents of Saint Bernard Parish to address all general surgery needs. Dr. Delahoussaye furthered his education by completing the Minimally Invasive/Bariatric Surgery Fellowship program at Jackson South Community Hospital, in Miami in 2018.
