State testing will take place for St. Bernard Parish students throughout the months of April and May. Paper-based testing will be given to students in grades 3 and 4. Computer-based testing will be given to grades 5-8. High school students taking Algebra I, Geometry, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History will take the LEAP2025 assessment for each of these courses throughout the month of May.
For students in 3rd and 4th grade, testing will take place April 27-May 1, 2020. Fifth-grade students will be taking the English Language Arts and Mathematics tests on March 31, April 1, and April 2, 2020. These students will be taking the Science and Social Studies tests on April 3, April 6, and April 7, 2020. Sixth through eighth-grade students will be taking the English Language Arts and Mathematics tests April 21-23, 2020 and Science and Social Studies test April 24 and April 27-28, 2020.
Students enrolled in state-approved home-study programs and students currently enrolled in private or parochial schools who plan to enter public schools next year for enrollment in grades 4 or 9 must register for this test. These students may participate in testing at their district public school during the scheduled testing sessions. Registration is required for participation. Registration forms may be completed at the St. Bernard Parish School Board Administration Office at 200 E. St. Bernard Highway until March 20, 2020. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Registration forms may be faxed upon request.

Students currently enrolled in St. Bernard Parish public schools are not required to register for state testing.
