The Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard-Arabi honored our Veterans at their weekly meeting held on Tuesday, November 10.
The Speaker was Louisiana National Guard’s Major Barrett Lancon US Army.
Major Lancon spoke on the Incredible job the Louisiana National Guard has done in 2020. Responding all over Louisiana to Hurricanes, Covid, and Deploying Troops Overseas. Major Lancon said, “the Jackson Barracks Museum is incredible and that we should all see it.”
The Kiwanis Club paid for meals of all Veterans in attendance that day as an appreciation for their service. God Bless all who Serve Our Great Nation!!!
Many Veterans were invited by Kiwanis Members. President Jeff Southerland brought his dad Dan Southerland-USMC. Ellis Fortinberry Programs Coordinator arranges our Guest Speakers, like Major Lancon. Kiwanis meetings are held every Tuesday at noon in Rocky & Carlo’s Sicilian Room. Kids need Kiwanis and Kiwanis needs you. Consider joining us for an upcoming meeting!
