The Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard-Arabi had as their speaker the St. Bernard Port Harbor and Terminal District Executive Director, Drew M. Heaphy, and Director of Administration, Ross Gonzales on February 2, 2021, at Rocky & Carlo’s Sicilian Room. The Kiwanis Club meets every Tuesday at noon.

Mr. Heaphy gave an overview of the Port’s Operations, ongoing projects, and upgrades being done to the Chalmette Slip. Yes, the Container Yard in Violet was discussed with many questions being asked and answered. Future land acquisitions and expansion of the St. Bernard Port Harbor and Terminal District make the future look great for St. Bernard. Mr. Heaphy was recognized by City Business Magazine for his success. Mr. Heaphy is in the “Power 20” in the Maritime and Port Industry for South Louisiana. The Power 20 by City Business Magazine profiles the 20 most influential professional leaders in the maritime industry. Congratulations Mr. Heaphy for this incredible accomplishment.
