A delegation of queens from across the great State of Louisiana toured St. Bernard Parish Saturday, June 10th, 2023.

Festival Queens from Louisiana visited the Louisiana Crawfish Pageant which was held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor School. St. Bernard Parish Tourism and Film Executive Director Katie Tommaseo led the tour with Parish Historian William Hyland.

The Queens were guided along Terre-aux-Boeufs through the area where St. Bernard Parish began in the late 18th century.  The delegation visited Los Islenos Museum Complex to discover St. Bernard’s culture. The highlight of the tour was visiting the St. Bernard Seafood Market held in Delacroix. Councilmembers Kerri Callais, Fred Everhardt Jr., Josh Moran, Assessor Jaylynn Turner, and Chief Administrative Officer John Lane greeted the festival royalty and thanked them for visiting St. Bernard. “Programs which grow maturity, responsibility, and pride in Louisiana are important to the development of our youth,” said Katie Tommaseo.

Abbey Bigner who was crowned the 2022 Miss Louisiana Crawfish Queen and Atianna Sinegal who was crowned the 2022 Teen Louisiana Crawfish Queen gave up their crowns after one year to the new Crawfish Festival Royalty.  The 2023 new Queens are Miss Queen Kristin Nash and Teen Queen Riley Moran.
