“PIONEERS IN WOMEN’S CARNIVAL” EXHIBIT TO OPEN AT THE PRESBYTÈRE

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana State Museum are proud to announce the opening of Pioneers of Women’s Carnival, a landmark exhibition at the Presbytère on Jackson Square. This immersive and inspiring showcase honors the groundbreaking contributions of women who have reshaped Mardi Gras through creativity, advocacy, and leadership, including the indomitable Aminthe Laudumiey Nungesser, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

Pioneers of Women’s Carnival debuts with an opening night reception and unveiling by invitation only on Thursday, May 8. The exhibit opens to the public on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Presbytère, located at 751 Chartres Street, and will run through Summer 2026.
