Blanche Louise Diebold

Blanche Louise Diebold passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the age of 87.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her life.  She was the beloved mother of Phylis D. Aiston, Philip J. Diebold (Cindy), Julia Bordelon and the late Carolyn D. Kramer (Jerry).  Daughter of the late Bernard and Naomi Swayne Albers.  Sister of Shirley A. Bergeron (Joel), Bernard Albers Jr. (Judy), Mary A. LaPointe (Clifford) and the late Sylvia A. Standeford, Justine A. Nicolich (Raymond) and Harry C. Albers (Frances).  She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Blanche was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Pearl River, LA. She was a longtime member of the Telephone Pioneers and a dedicated and honored volunteer for WYES and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service in Blanche’s memory beginning at 1:00 p.m.  She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
