Leo Ivy Turnbull, Jr. passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the age of 65. Beloved son of Ursula G. Repath and the late Leo Ivy Turnbull Sr. Step son of the late Herman J. Repath. Former husband of Rachel Schneider Turnbull. Loving father of Scott Allen Love-Turnbull (Lacarra). Brother of Cheryl Turnbull Acosta and Wayne G. Turnbull (Cindy). Proud grandfather of 2 grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Leo was born on September 26, 1951 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was a decorated United States Army Veteran and proudly served in the Vietnam War. Leo will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will begin at 7:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest with military honors on Friday, April 7, 2017 in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please consider Masses or Prayers for the family.
