Bikeway and Pedestrian Draft Plan Meeting set for Thursday, May 18

St. Bernard Parish Government and the Regional Planning Commission (RPC) are currently conducting the St. Bernard Parish Bikeway & Pedestrian Plan Update. The Plan Update is a study funded by the RPC focused on improving conditions for people walking and bicycling in the urbanized area of the Parish in order to make walking and bicycling safer and easier for residents and visitors. All interested parties are encouraged to attend a public meeting to review the Draft Plan. The meeting will be held on Thursday May 18, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers St. Bernard Parish Government Complex, 8201 W. Judge Perez Drive Chalmette, LA

The purpose of the meeting is to solicit feedback from the public on the Draft Plan including maps of the proposed facilities. The public is invited to drop in at any time during the meeting’s scheduled time to review the information available, but there will be a short introductory presentation from 6:30 to 6:45.

Comments must be submitted within 7 days of the meeting by May 25, 2017. Written comments may be submitted at the meeting, emailed to dfagan@sbpg.net, or mailed to the following address:
