Parish President Guy McInnis and Public Works Director Keith LaGrange met with LA Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) Project Engineer Justin Guilbeau and Area Engineer Frederick Wetekamm to discuss quality control issues regarding repairs along St. Bernard Highway. DOTD officials said the project had a few setbacks but is now moving forward. The two agencies are working together to make sure the work is completed as soon as possible.
The project includes an overlay of the roadway with asphaltic concrete, replacing drainage structures, installing ADA ramps at intersections, installing new concrete curb and gutters along the medians and a new bike lane.
