Grow St. Bernard announces fall Lunch and Learn series

The St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation (SBEDF) and the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce have announced the expansion of “Grow St. Bernard,” a professional development series created to provide business owners and professionals with the practical skills necessary to grow their company with limited resources. Organizers have released a fall “Lunch and Learn” series schedule. The 2017 fall series will take place on a monthly basis in September, October, and November from 11:30 p.m.-1:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

Attendees can build their skill set and expand their network with the 90 minute seminar. Each “Lunch and Learn” will begin with a 30 minute networking lunch followed by one hour of instruction and practical application.

“We are thrilled to expand our programming by offering individual seminars on hyper-specific topics,” explained Andrew Jacques, Executive Director of SBEDF. “Participants will receive hands-on training by our speakers and leave with not only information, but with the first steps to implement the strategies presented.”

Topics include digital marketing, accounting, and public speaking. A full schedule can be found at www.sbedf.org/growstbernard.

The first seminar, “Be found online – Improve your digital presence and Google ranking,” will be on Thursday, September 14, 2017.

The series is being hosted at Nunez Community College. Space is limited and the price to attend is $25 for Chamber members and $30 for Non-chamber members.
