Ruth Bonck Jinright

Ruth Bonck Jinright passed away peacefully in her sleep, finally meeting her God and reunited with her boys on October 23, 2017 at the age of 97.  She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late O. B. Jinright. She was the cherished mother of Richard “Dickie” and Michael Ray. Beloved sister of Robert E. Bonck and the late Katie Lancaster, Normand A. Bonck, Clarence N. Bonck, Gloria B. Windham, Lawrence E. Bonck, Beverly J. Bonck and Al Sayawa.  Daughter of the late Nicholaus and Amelia Bonck. She is also survived and fondly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews, along with Tom Crest, Chris Bonck and her special girls Janelle Acosta and Maureen Krupp. Special thanks to Myrna and Carol for their care and dedication.

Ruth was born in Bush, CO and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a recent resident of Slidell, LA. She enjoyed a long career with BellSouth for over 35 years. Following her retirement, she could often be found bowling and enjoying her camp with friends and family. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, October 28th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service in Ruth’s memory beginning at 7:00 p.m. Her burial will take place at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens at a later date.
