Susan Christine Cardaro Tullos

Susan Christine Cardaro Tullos passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her life. She was the cherished wife of 46 years to George A. Tullos Jr. Loving mother of Michael George Tullos, Nicole Gail Tullos Margerum and her precious baby, the late Scott Paul Tullos. Daughter of the late Peter and Ophelia Guedimin Cardaro.  Sister of Elizabeth C. Markey, Nancy C. Scearce, Daniel Jacob Cardaro and the late Kathleen Anna Cardaro. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Susan was born in New Orleans, LA currently residing in Picayune, MS. She truly enjoyed life through her simple pleasures of bowling, gardening and especially loved yard sales and fishing with her family and friends. When not caring for her family, she enjoyed spending time with her Bunco group, The Lady Chicks.

Although Susan’s illness made her appear frail, she possessed strength, perseverance and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. Her courage is a reminder that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, October 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service in Susan’s memory beginning at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
